London seems to be overflowing with people coming up with creative singles events at the moment!
We recently featured Shoot Experience’s photo dating treasure hunt, and now we’ve come across the ‘Lone Ramblers and Rambling Roses’ evening at the Rambling Restaurant, open for two nights only on 3rd and 4th December.

The Rambling Restaurant is one of these ‘underground restaurants’ that have popped up in the last few years in London, where people open up mini part-time restaurants in their front rooms. They’ve exploded in popularity recently, spreading their reach via blogs and Facebook.
People love the illict thrill of attending these parties, which fall in somewhat of a legal grey area (they normally don’t sell booze as they’re unlicensed), and because they are part of an underground foodie scene you’re likely to meet some like-minded people.
Dinner dating has been around over in the US for a while and has been very successful – people like the relaxed atmosphere and the chance to meet new people and have a proper chat rather than shouting in a busy bar
So it seems a natural step to get a whole load of single people around for what is basically a public dinner party. No longer will two singles get stuck on the end of the table, ‘to see if they get along…’
